Every Saturday and Wednesday-The Da Vinci Code and Paris

If you have read and enjoyed Dan Brown's gripping novel, then come and visit the main sights described in the book.
Your guide will take you on a fascinating walk which will reveal some of the mysteries, introduce some of the historical background and the principal arguments surrounding the hunt for the Holy Grail.
This outdoor walking tour is scheduled regularly.
Price : 12€ per person.
Private tours are also available starting at 160€ for the group (5pers)

The Da Vinci Code and the Louvre

This tour is occasionally scheduled but can also be booked privately for your group or family, at your convenience. Contact us for details. Price 160€ for up to five people. Add entrance to the Louvre costs 8.50€.

This walk will guide you through the labyrinth of galleries, showing you the museum's major works, some of the paintings evoked in the book including Mona Lisa and remind you of the main events of Dan Brown's exciting tale.

Every Monday Ile de la Cite and Notre Dame

Read the stories in the medieval sculptures and hear how this marvellous gothic cathedral was built.
You'll also look at the history and architecture of the Ile de la Cité, explore the old streets and courtyards, and visit the poignant memorial to those deported during the Second World War

The Latin Quarter

A walk through this atmospheric district to see highlights and hidden details. Roman remains from ancient times, charming old streets, pretty gardens, beautiful mansions and medieval churches, the story of medieval scholars and the famous Sorbonne university, still a place of learning today.
This walk takes you away from the more commercialised areas, and will show you how attractive and charming the Latin Quarter still is.

Every Tuesday The Marais Circuit Saints and Sinners

The Marais is the most beautifully preserved quarter of the city.
Discover medieval houses, atmospheric old streets, beautiful classical architecture, two lovely churches, the antique shops in the Village St Paul, and the place des Vosges, Paris' oldest square.
A host of colourful characters lived here including dissolute duchesses and aristocratic poisoners.

Every Tuesday The French Revolution
2.30pm

The historic district of the Latin Quarter, home to students and intellectuals, has many associations with the fateful French Revolution which began in 1789.
You'll see the old Procope Cafe, where the revolutionaries exchanged ideas, and the medieval refectory where the radical Cordeliers Club met. You hear of Danton, a disfigured but brilliant orator, and the rabble rouser journalist Hebert, nick named the Homer of Trash. You see where the guillotine was first developed and where Marat was stabbed to death in his bath by Charlotte Corday.
This exciting moment of French history makes a fascinating walk.

Every Wednesday The Village of Montmartre

A picturesque route to see the vineyard, old cobbled streets, artists' studios, where Renoir, Lautrec and Van Gogh painted, quiet gardens, the oldest cabaret in Paris, the lively place-du-Tertre, the famous Sacré Coeur church and a wonderful view over the city.

Every Wednesday The Two Islands
2.30pm

A walk to enjoy the essence of Paris on the two islands. The magical Ile St Louis, with its elegant architecture and aristocratic inhabitants.
This island was a favourite with the lost generation of the 1920s who savoured its old world charm.
You also look at the architecture and sculptures of Notre Dame Cathedral, the history of the Ile de la Cité, where Paris was first founded.
You'll explore the old streets and the hear how Paris developed into the majestic city of today.

With its wonderful cross section of Paris, this a perfect introduction to the city: the old abbey church of St Germain, the oldest church in Paris, the stately St Sulpice with the beautiful murals by Delacroix, charming streets, old squares, artists' studios, famous literary cafes, the Paris Fine Arts school, and the hotel where Oscar Wilde died.

The colourful Mouffetard district of the Latin Quarter.
Explore this charming quarter with the quaint old houses of the Mouffetard market street, associated with James Joyce, George Orwell, and also French writers Balzac and the disreputable poet Verlaine. Hemingway lived here and describes the neighbourhood in his last book "A Moveable Feast

Every Sunday The Marais Circuit II 2.30 pm

In this beautiful historic neighbourhood we hear tales of famous inhabitants and enjoy elegant classical architecture and quaint old streets. We see some splendid mansions: the beautiful Soubise Palace, the Hotel Sale, now the Picasso Museum and the Hotel Carnavalet, where Mme de Sevigne lived, famous for her witty letters telling of life at the time of the Sun King. We walk through the Jewish quarter and finish at the lovely place des Vosges, the city's oldest square.
